Our journey began with a simple idea: to create luxurious skincare products using the finest natural ingredients. Since beginning our journey we have been dedicated to crafting products that not only pamper the skin but also uplift the spirit.
In a remote village in southern Lebanon, a grandmother patiently handcrafts soap using olive oil produced from locally grown olives. Watching is a young girl, fascinated by the skillful movements of her grandmother’s hands as they make natural soap with love, care and expertise. This rural scene is the first chapter of a remarkable family story that continues today with House of Soap.
Combining natural ingredients, Lebanese tradition and modern innovation, House of Soap’s inspirational founder Awsaf Hankeer is building on an extraordinary legacy of traditional soap making in Lebanon that stretches back 3,000 years. In keeping these techniques alive, Awsaf is honoring not only the handwork of Lebanese artisans but also her proud family history.
Founded in 2008, House of Soap is now a major multinational company with 50+ boutiques around the Middle East. Every product is handmade naturally in Lebanon with the same love and skill used by Awsaf’s grandmother and the generations who came before her.
“Everything I do comes from the heart,” smiles Awsaf. “My heart lives in nature and House of Soap is my tribute to Lebanon, to our history, and to my beloved grandmother.”
